Missile Man - Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam

Abdul Kalam, the eleventh President of the country and world-famous as Missile Man, was born on 15 October 1931 in Dhanushkodi village (Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu) into a middle-class Muslim family. His father Jainulabdeen was neither educated nor rich. His father used to rent a boat to fishermen. Abdul Kalam lived in a joint family. The family member numbers can be estimated from the fact that he had five brothers and five sisters and lived in a family of three. His father was a great influence on Abdul Kalam's life. Although he was not educated, his dedication and his values were very useful for Abdul Kalam.

In 1962, he came to the Indian Space Research Organization, ISRO. Dr. Abdul Kalam received the credit for making India's first indigenous satellite (SLV III) missile as project director. In 1980, he placed the Rohini satellite near the Earth's orbit. Thus India also became a member of the International Space Club. He is also credited with offering the ISRO launch vehicle program. Dr. Kalam also designed the indigenous target piercing (Guided Missiles). They made missiles like Agni and Prithvi with indigenous technology. Dr. Kalam was the Science Advisor to the Defense Minister from July 1992 to December 1999 and Secretary, Department of Security Research and Development.

Wipro chairman Azim Premji dropped out of Stanford University. The reason for this was the death of father MH Premji from his head in 1966. He worked hard and took Wipro to a new level. Today it has become a multi-business and multi-national company. Its business spans from consumer products, infrastructure to specialized information technology products and services.

According to Asia Week Magazine, Premji's name is among the 20 influential people in the world. Time magazine has also included him among the 100 most influential personalities in the world. Environmental leader - Sant Balbir Singh Sinchewal

The 160 km long Kali Bei River is a tributary of the Sutlej in Punjab. There was a time when this river had been transformed into a rivulet, with the filth of 32 cities and the neglect of society. This saint from Sinchewal, a small village in Punjab, took the initiative to clean the river on his own. The saint carried out this work with his disciples.

The efforts started by him in the year 2000 showed only a few years and today, seeing its serene stream, there is no faith in how human efforts can be revived by a human effort without spending anything. When the Philippines government came to know about his work, he sought his support for the revival of a river in Manila.

Great academician - DS Kothari

To give a new direction to the Indian education system, the great educationist Dr. DS Kothari will always be remembered. The Kothari Commission was established in July 1964 under the chairmanship of this educationist. In this commission, the government was suggested to outline the national model, general principles and policies regarding all aspects and processes of education.

The Kothari Commission made important suggestions for primary education, secondary education, and higher ie university education. The Kothari Commission was the first such education commission in India, which made some concrete suggestions in its report given social changes. According to the Commission, such a national system can be prepared only on the rules of the same school, where children of all classes will study together. It is the contribution of the Kothari Commission that today we are so ahead in education. His contribution in the field of education can never be forgotten.
